SUMMARY:Art & AI Hackathon
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join our art-based workshop + hackathon\, during which you will have the opportunity to visualize your ideas with tools for creating AI-generated art. This one-day event is aimed at a broad audience\, both people who have no experience working with generative AI tools and those who have used them in the past. The event will consist of: \n  \n\na workshop where you will get introduced to an AI image-generator tool\na hacking session where you shape your idea into a complete “product” using the AI-image generator (e.g. DALLE-2 / DreamStudio)\nroundtable discussion on human and machine creativity\nclosing ceremony and awards\n\nIn detail \nYou will create an image using an AI image-generator tool. You will be able to submit one image/a series of images or a video. The submitted work will be evaluated by a panel of judges and the best works will be awarded prizes. Participating as an individual or in a team is possible. \n  \nEligibility \n\nAt least 18 years old\nNo coding experience is required\n\n  \nWhy participate \nThe event is a great opportunity to make an art piece and show us your vision and creativity using technology. DESCRIPTION:Voor de toekomst van Nederland zijn startups van cruciaal belang. De bijdrage van (jonge) bedrijven aan vernieuwingen en innovatie leidt tot nieuwe producten\, diensten en kennis. Uit onderzoek van online kennisplatform Innovation Origins blijkt dat er gemiddeld meer succesvolle startups zijn in de Brainport regio dan in de rest van Nederland. De belangrijkste onderscheidende factoren van Brainport zijn onder andere de beschikbaarheid van talent\, integrale samenwerking door het gehele ecosysteem zoals kennisinstellingen en het bedrijfsleven en de focus op het oplossen van grote maatschappelijke problemen. \nONDERZOEK IS LEUK\, MAAR HOE ZIT HET IN DE PRAKTIJK?\nOnderzoek is goed\, maar we zijn uiteraard benieuwd naar de verhalen erachter. Welke Digital startups hebben het ook voorbij de grenzen van Eindhoven en zelf Nederland gered? Hoe zijn zij zo succesvol geworden en waar liepen zij tegenaan? Hij vertelt je er alles over! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTHIJS PUTMAN \nSTUDYPORTALS \nThijs is een van de oprichters van Studyportals\, hét online-studiekeuzeplatform voor het Engelstalig hoger onderwijs. Vanaf Studyportals’ oprichting in 2006 tot midden 2019 was hij als CTO verantwoordelijk voor alles dat met “tech” te maken had. Na\, als Chief Software Architect\, enige tijd terug te zijn gegaan naar zijn roots heeft Thijs inmiddels een adviserende rol. Daarnaast is hij als adviseur – en soms als investeerder – betrokken bij startups en scaleups die aan het begin van hun (online) avontuur staan. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBART VAN GREVENHOF \nTU EINDHOVEN \nBart vertelt ons hoe de TU/e startups binnen de Brainport regio kan helpen.
